About the speaker:
Mr Alain Chisari Vice-President, Sales Lufthansa Group Airlines Asia Pacific
Mr. Alain Chisari was appointed Vice President Sales Asia Pacific effective September 2018 for the Lufthansa Group Airlines. He directs the airline’s regional headquarter based in Singapore. In this role, he manages and directs the sales activities for Lufthansa Group Airlines (Lufthansa German Airlines, SWISS and Austrian Airlines) and also Brussels Airlines, in Asia Pacific.
For the last five years he served as Chief Commercial Officer and Member of the Management Board at Edelweiss Air, a sister airline of Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) in Switzerland.
Alain Chisari started his career in the aviation industry in 1996 with corporate sales functions at American Airlines and at British Airways . After that he joined Delta Airlines as a Regional Sales Manager where he was assigned to various cities including Chicago, London, Munich, Vienna and Johannesburg.
He joined Swiss International Air Lines in 2008 as Head of Leisure Sales and became Head of External Relations & Alliances in 2012. During that time he was responsible for managing joint venture & other airline partnerships, the Star Alliance membership as well as the representation with international civil aviation authorities.
Alain holds an Executive Master’s Degree in General Management from the St. Gallen Management Institute (SGMI, Switzerland as well as advanced diplomas in Marketing and Business Administration. He holds a Swiss and Italian passport and is fluent in German, English, Swedish, French and Italian.
