About the Course

Foundations of ESG and Change Management
 

• Learn about core ESG and change management principles
• Assess organisational sustainability requirements and establish SMART objectives based on Locke and Latham’s theory
• Incorporate change management frameworks including AKDAR and McGuire’s persuasion model
• Understand the concept of resistance to change using Maurer’s model and methods to mitigate it
• Build organisational resilience through AKDAR and Kotter’s change models
• Conduct conflict management using the Thomas-Kilmann model

ESG Environment and Regulatory Context

• Review global ESG developments. The UN SDGs, and evolving consumer behaviour patterns
• Key regulatory frameworks such as the Singapore Green Plan 2030, Germany’s Climate Action Programme, and the European Green Deal
• Analyse policies like Singapore’s Carbon Pricing Act and the European carbon tax

Tools and Analytical Frameworks

• Utilise analytical tools like the Modified BCG Matrix for sustainability evaluation
• Perform ESG risk and opportunity management through techniques like scenario analysis, and risk matrices
• Enhance stakeholder engagement with impact assessment frameworks
• Utilise ESG scoring techniques, rating agencies, and sustainability marketing to prevent greenwashing

ESG Standards and Reporting

• GRI, ISSB, ISO
• Sustainability strategies across environmental (ISO 14064, ISO 50001), social (ISO 2600, CSR plans) and governance (ISO 22301, ISO 37001) dimensions
• Review ESG reporting fundamentals, including materiality assessments and compliance with CSRD and SGX requirements
