SGC Business Luncheon on Sustainable Strategies to Develop Singapore’s Workforce: A Dialogue with Newly Appointed Minister for Manpower, Mrs Josephine Teo

Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Home Affairs, talking about sustainable strategies to develop Singapore's workforce and answering questions from the audience.

Key points of the dialogue session:

- Moderate growth through spur restructuring and productivity growth

- Strengthen local-foreign complementarity to enhance quality

- Provide flexibility to support economic transformation

She also highlighted that to maximise the potential of Singapore’s workforce, the MoM and the companies will have to work closely together for a prosperous economy.

In line with this topic, the SGC signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Nanyang Polytechnic for training programs and joint applied research solutions on structured workplace systems and competences-based training and learning. This MOU is also signed by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria.
