Day of German Unity Special 2025/2026
This year, Singapore celebrates its 60th anniversary – a milestone that highlights both the nation’s impressive development and the strength of its international partnerships.
For more than two decades, the Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (SGC) has contributed to the close economic relations between Germany and Singapore. For over one-third of Singapore’s history, SGC has been involved in building and shaping these ties, providing continuity and support for companies from both countries.
The year 2025 also has brought major challenges. Companies face new tariffs, geopolitical tensions, and growing uncertainty in world trade. In this environment, SGC helps its members by offering reliable information and opportunities for exchange. Committees, roundtables, and lectures with expert speakers give orientation and encourage open discussion. Recent sessions on supply chains, artificial intelligence, and sustainable industry show the value of these formats.
The active participation of our members underlines the strength of our network. At the same time, the many business delegations traveling between Germany and Singapore confirm the depth of our bilateral cooperation. We were pleased to welcome representatives from the fashion design, energy efficiency, and biotech sectors, among others.
On the occasion of Singapore’s 60th anniversary and Germany’s National Day, we would like to thank our Board and Advisory Council, our Gold members, committees, clients and partners, and among others the Deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammer (DIHK), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), the German Embassy in Singapore, and the Singapore Embassy in Germany. Their support, together with the commitment of our network, remains essential for our work and for the future of our cooperation. Last but not least also a big thank you to our SGC staff for their commitment and hard work.
