The Singaporean-German Chamber of Industry (SGC) and Commerce now embraces a new role as the Baden-Württemberg Singapore Office for ASEAN! This momentous inauguration iscelebrated at an evening reception at the Tower Club Singapore.

The appointment signifies a deepened commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, economic growth, and education between Singapore, ASEAN, and Baden-Württemberg. Participating in the inauguration were Dr Florian Stegmann, Minister of State and Head of the State Chancellery of Baden-Württemberg, and Ms Theresa Schopper, Minister of Education, Youth, and Sports, who were present as part of a German political delegation trip.

Mr Kai Neuber from the SGC will spearhead the Baden-Württemberg Singapore Office as the new Singapore and ASEAN Representative. With this pivotal role, the SGC will:

• support companies in Singapore and ASEAN that are looking to branch out their business operations and invest in Baden-Württemberg, one of the strongest economic regions in Germany, and the Number 1 leading region for innovation in Europe.
• support companies, research institutions and universities in Baden-Württemberg with their market entry efforts to Singapore and ASEAN, which are both seeing economic resilience amidst global uncertainties.
• Facilitate the continuation and expansion of bilateral cooperation on vocational education and training. This stems from a longstanding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Singapore and Baden-Württemberg, which has paved the way for educators and students from both locations to exchange knowledge, expertise and best practices.
