CommitteesThe Committees meet on a regular basis to discuss new developments and work on projects. On average, the Committees have between 8 and 15 members, the large majority being business people. In the R&D and Environmental Engineering Committee, for instance, members of academia also contribute to the work of the group. The exchange between research and business is therefore fostered in the work of the SGC.
The following Committees have been established so far:
- Environmental Engineering
- Financial Management
- Health Care
- Human Resources Asia
- Information Technology
- Procurement & Supply Chain Management
- Research & Development
The working style varies: some Committees work on an internal basis, which includes the exchange of ideas and short presentations on specific topics by group members. Others, such as the ITC, Healthcare adn Procurement offer a number of seminars and workshops.
The Committees are the backbone of the SGC work. They identify areas of interest, voice problems and discuss new topics. They are also the source for background information gathered by Ministries or other official representations. The Committee work is open to all members of the SGC. Valuable exchange of knowledge and ideas can help each business to excel in the daily work. Sharing experiences helps solve difficult questions constructively and in a sustainable way.
