Sustainable Urban SolutionsThe SGC organized a delegation with the topic Sustainable Urban Solutions in ASEAN from 21 to 25 September 2009. Nine innovative German companies came to Singapore to explore business opportunities. Representatives of the companies BHF Landscape Architects, EnEd GmbH, FB Firmenbündnis Burkau AG, Holz und Form, MEA Bausysteme GmbH, Putzmeister Solid Pumps GmbH, Retarus, Silocon, RRP architects + engineers were part of the delegation.
In the course of the event, delegates met up with different authorities such as the Economic Development Board (EDB), the National Environment Agency (NEA), the Building and Construction Authority (BCA), the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and the Land and Transport Authority (LTA).
During the official opening of the business matching event, His Excellency Mr Jörg Ranau German Ambassador to Singapore and Mr Martin Krautkrämer from the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology gave inspiring speeches to participants and encouraged everyone to further invest in sustainable urban solutions. Furthermore, German business delegates met up with different Singaporean companies for future business collaborations. The event was well attended and the delegates from Germany as well as the Singaporean company representatives were satisfied with their meetings. The meetings were successful and the delegates praised the SGC for the excellent organization of the whole event. |
