Healthcare & Biotechnology Symposium

Biopolis, Singapore - 05/05 2008

The SGC supported Baden-Württemberg International (BWi) in the organization of a Symposium on Healthcare and Biotechnology at Matrix@Biopolis on 6 May 2008. Guest-of-honors in the event were Mr Lee Yi Shyan, Minister of State, Ministry of Trade and Industry for Singapore and Mr Ernst Pfister, Minister of Economic Affairs, German Federal State of Baden-Wurttemberg. Participants included scientists, business people and political delegates from Germany.  Invited speakers from Germany and Singapore spoke about latest innovations and research in biotechnology. Next to the symposium the SGC also organized 16 individual meetings between company representatives from Germany and Singapore. The aim of these meetings is to explore potential business opportunities.
