BMWi - VHP - Singapore - Indonesia
Vermarktungshilfeprogramm (VHP) - Business Delegation to Singapore/Indonesia, 27th - 31st October 2008
8 x Individual Consultancy (July 2008)
8 x Market Studies (May - October 2008)
The VHP project is a marketing support program directed at SMEs from the former Eastern Germany. The proposal of DEinternational included not only Singapore, but also Indonesia through the DEinternational office in Jakarta. The program is subsidized by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology (BMWi).
DEinternational Singapore took the lead in this joint project, with DEinternational Indonesia as a cooperation partner.
After confirming eight participants for the VHP, representatives of DEinternational Singapore and DEinternational Indonesia visited each company at their own premises in July to receive more detailed information on their business activities and products. Furthermore, a strategy for their market entry was developed for each individual company.
In accordance with each company’s requirements, DEinternational Singapore and DEinternational Indonesia carried out a market study for each participant and identified relevant contacts.
During a visit to Singapore and Indonesia from 26th – 31st October 2008, three participants of the project had the opportunity to discuss a possible cooperation with the identified contacts in individual meetings arranged by DEinternational. Each German company representative was accompanied by a staff member of DEinternational.
As several VHP participants could not arrange their visits as part of the scheduled delegation program, one of them completed his meetings already in September, while two other companies visited the region in November/December.
Due to the individual travel plans one more company still has to complete the trip to Singapore and Indonesia in 2009.
DEinternational has received very positive feedback on the project for both, the work in Singapore and Indonesia.
