PUB Overseas Seed Fund

PUB, the Singapore’s National Water Agency, is responsible for ensuring a sustainable and efficient water supply for Singapore with the Four National Taps (local catchment water, imported water, NEWater and desalinated water). Driven by what it takes to be sustainable in water, PUB has been supporting various research ideas and upstream technology developments to meet Singapore’s future water demand more efficiently and effectively.

Introducing for the first time, the PUB Overseas Seed Fund is set to solicit novel, breakthrough ideas and technologies from the International Research Groups to address Singapore’s water supply and/or demand challenges. Being a competitive funding scheme, the application is open to overseas Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs), Research Institutes (RIs) and private companies with funding support for each awarded Research Proposal capped at S$400,000 for a duration of up to 2 years. All the research work can be carried out overseas.

Interested parties can indicate their interest of submission together with a brief abstract of the proposed idea via email to Dr Liu Lei (Liu_Lei(at)pub.gov.sg) or Dr Shan Junhong (Shan_Junhong(at)pub.gov.sg) from PUB Singapore by 5 January 2017 (Singapore time, GMT +08:00). The deadline for the proposal submission is 18 April 2017, 11:00 am (Singapore time, GMT +08:00). Please do not hesitate to contact Dr Liu Lei or Dr Shan Junhong if you need further clarifications.
